Volunteers make Adult Education a caring, community-based program!

If you:

  • Care about teens and adults who are working toward achieving their educational goals
  • Have a positive attitude and a strong interest in lifelong learning
  • Can schedule 1-5 hours a week as a literacy volunteer
  • Are available to meet with the Volunteer Coordinator and/or classroom teacher for optimum placement and training
  • Can commit to tutoring or other assistance for at least 6 months

...then we'd love to hear from you!

Current Specific Needs:

  • As school starts back up again in mid-August, tutors will be needed to assist in teaching Adult Basic Education, GED preparation, basic skills, beginning literacy, teen alternative learning, English as a Second Language (ESL). Classes are offered mornings, afternoons, and evenings, so tutors are needed during each of those times.
  • We also need volunteers for evening child-care and materials distribution.
