Adult Basic Education and GED Preparation classes are FREE, and you may start any time, once you have gone through Orientation to assess your individual skill levels, needs, and learning goals.

Registration/Orientation
is a series of assessments that place you in the appropriate class, at the appropriate level, with the right goals. During the 3- to 4-hour orientation, you will be tested to find out what subjects you need to work on, so plan to stay the entire time to complete as much as you can. Plus, if you have any special learning needs that may require certain accommodations, we have a licensed school psychologist to help.
(Note: Children and guests may not attend Orientation with you.)
People age 19 and older* use ABE classes to
  • Prepare for the GED® tests
  • Prepare for college and vocational admissions tests
  • Improve employment opportunities
  • Get individualized instruction with dedicated, state-licensed teachers
  • Help their children with homework and success in school
(*Students 16-18 yrs. old learn at TLC)
