FREE Adult Basic Education/GED Preparation Classes
Go back to your future and get your GED. Or brush up to attend college. Or just further your learning! During the regular school year, ABE & GED classes are offered throughout the week, daytime and evenings. You can start any time, but new students must first be assessed in a 3- to 4-hour orientation to determine their best learning levels and goals. Click here for descriptions and the complete orientation and class schedules.

  • Our Reading Lab is available for enrolled students.
  • GED testing is offered weekly at BLC.
  • We offer Ivy Tech's COMPASS test monthly. Dates and other info will be updated soon.
  • Need help easing into college? Check out our new Transition to College/Math class on Mon & Wed evenings, which you can attend after orientation.

FREE ESL (English as a Second Language) classes

During the regular school year, ESL classes are offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening. For schedules and more information, click here.

  • Our ELLIS Lab offers up-to-date English learning software.

Computer Classes

People 55 or older can sign up for our Senior Tech afternoon classes, taught by senior volunteers, at a cost of $25 for four weeks (plus a materials fee of $20). Click here for the schedule and registration forms.You can also preregister and prepay at Broadview Learning Center.


Volunteer Training and Opportunities

Volunteers are always welcome, whether it involves tutoring single students or groups, or helping with simple administrative tasks. Click here for more information, to see our current needs, and to fill out the Volunteer Questionnaire. And remember, volunteers learn what they teach!
