For ESL students: Special registration for students wanting to learn ESL (English as a Second Language) will be on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, August 12-14, 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

FREE Adult Basic Education/GED Preparation Classes
Go back to your future and get your GED. Or brush up to attend college. Or just further your learning! During the regular school year, ABE/GED classes are offered every weekday, Mon-Fri, 8:30am-1:30pm, or Mon & Wed evenings, 4:00-8:00. You can start any time, but new students must first attend an orientation to determine their best learning levels. Click here for the complete class and orientation schedule.

FREE ESL (English as a Second Language) classes
During the regular school year, ESL classes are offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening. For schedules and more information, click here.

  • Our ELLIS Lab offers up-to-date English learning software.
  • Support and help for international families is available. Call 330-7731 ext. 53123 (for Korean) or 52335 (for Spanish).

FREE Teen Learning Center (TLC) Programs
Teens of various ages and with various alternative needs can find a niche in the TLC. Withdrawn from school? Get your GED at the TLC. Need extra credit, or an alternative way to learn? The TLC credit class can help. Alternative-to-Suspension and homework assistance are also available for high school students. Find out info here.

  • A full-time counselor is ready to help with personal and career choices or any problems students may have.

Evening Computer Classes
Computer skills are essential in today's workplace, and you can learn at your own pace. Computer Classes for adults are offered from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at a cost of $65 for a three-week session. You must preregister and prepay at Broadview Learning Center.

Volunteer Training and Opportunities

Volunteers are always welcome, whether it involves tutoring single students or groups, or helping with simple administrative tasks. Click here for more information, to see our current needs, and to fill out the Volunteer Questionnaire. And remember, volunteers learn what they teach!
